What is Modern Roc:

Modern Jive is a fun and easy to learn partner dance that blends moves from various styles like salsa, swing, and jive. It’s perfect for all skill levels, even if you think you have two left feet! No complicated foot work just great music, friendly people, and simple steps anyone can pick up.

 

What type of music is played:

We dance to a wide variety of music, from timeless classics to the latest hits. If it’s got a good beat, we’ll move to it!

 

What do I wear: 

Just wear something comfortable that you can move in. Smooth soled shoes or dance shoes are ideal to help you glide on the floor, but no special gear is required.

 

Do I need a partner:

Not at all! Many people come on their own, and we rotate partners during the class so everyone gets a chance to dance and meet new people.
